Frequently asked questions
What languages are spoken?
All workshops will be in English.
We can provide translation into Dutch or German for certain parts of the programme, but we are unable to translate entire workshops.
A reasonable level of English comprehension is preferable, but don’t worry—our year‑long experience shows most participants do fine, plenty of help is always available.
During exercises, breaks, or whenever you have a question, you are welcome to speak in your native language.
Occasionally, we may be able to offer translations into other languages, but only if participants are available to assist with those translations.
How many participants can join the retreat?
We intentionally keep our retreats small—16 participants max—and they tend to sell out quickly, so please reserve your spot soon.
Why does that matter?
In a group this size, you’re never lost in the crowd.
Every voice is heard, every story seen, and every question gets the attention it deserves. You’ll forge genuine connections, share meals and moments, and you'll have the opportunity to leave feeling truly known rather than just another participant.
In short, the intimacy of 16 men creates a warm, personal experience that larger events simply can’t match.
Join us and discover the difference a tight‑knit community can make.
What safety and privacy measures are in place?
We prioritise safety and privacy above anything else.
After many years of experience, we know how to create secure, welcoming spaces for participants.
In our first session, we’ll outline the specific procedures we follow to protect everyone’s safety, privacy and well-being.
If you have any concerns or questions about this topic or specific things you would like to ask, please let us know and reach out to us.
What food options are available?
We do not follow a specific nutritional philosophy, but we strive to serve plentiful, healthy, and delicious meals—including a selection of Burgundian‑style local dishes prepared by our professional cook.
If you have any dietary restrictions, or if you are vegetarian, vegan or follow a plant‑based diet, we will do our utmost to accommodate you. You will be invited to indicate your preferences in a questionnaire that will be sent after you have registered for the event.
How are snorers and light sleepers accommodated?
Please note that you will be staying in shared accommodation.
While the house is beautiful, space for relocating guests is limited.
If you know you have a pronounced snoring problem, we recommend exploring possible solutions before signing up.
In the interest of a harmonious environment, heavy snorers may be moved to a separate sleeping area.
Light sleepers generally fare well at our retreat, but they should be aware that they will not have a private bedroom.
Where possible, we will pair light sleepers together.
How can I reach the accommodation?
You can travel to the venue by car (details to be provided).
The nearest train station is Liège‑Guillemins (Belgium).
We will arrange pick‑ups at the station if required and will help organise car‑pooling.
What are the intimacy and workshop guidelines?
Throughout the week, there will be plenty of opportunities for different kinds of intimacy—emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and relational intimacy—always in a mindful, respectful, and safe environment.
Expect hugging, mindful‑touch, story‑sharing, meditation, heartcircles, and contact improvisation, plus chances to open your heart in a supportive setting.
- This is not a gay‑tantra retreat; there will be no nudity or optional clothing during workshops.
- Sweat‑lodge exception: you may wear swimming shorts or be nude; the interior is completely dark. You may also participate outside, near the sweat‑lodge, join the fire keeper, and be part of the community.
Is there a dress code or suggested clothing for the activities?
You’ll receive a check and a pack list that can help with that after you’ve signed up, and about a month before the retreat begins.
What should I pack – any special items?
No special items needed.

Flexibility notes
- Free‑time blocks: Breakfast, lunch and dinner periods include free time, allowing you to rest, mingle, explore the surroundings, or pursue individual activities.
- Adaptable content: While the core workshops remain, the exact topics, exercises and timings can be tweaked to suit the group’s energy or development at a certain point.
- Surprise elements: We keep a “toolbox” of additional activities that can be introduced spontaneously, adding variety and keeping the experience fresh.
- Weekly theme: The entire week follows a clear theme with a defined beginning, middle and end, creating a cohesive journey of exploration, fun and self‑development in a logical order.
Special days
- Sweatlodge day: The programme will differ significantly, with dedicated time for the lodge ceremony and related practices.
- Playday: We will start hiking into the wonderful hills and forests of Limburg (NL). It offers a chance to digest the workshops so far, deepen connections with fellow men, and reflect in nature. The afternoon and evening will be something playful and light. Let yourselves be surprised.
Heads‑up: This schedule is just a guide and may be tweaked along the way, so things could shift as we go.
